Ballet is one of the major influences in Western dance, with an emphasis on proper body alignment, technique, poise, and balance. It fosters not only an awareness of body lines, but also increases flexibility and toning as well as strengthens the body. The knowledge of Ballet will also transfer into all other forms of dance and is needed to help create a solid foundation of technique.

Hip-hop
Hip-hop is one of our most popular dance styles due to its high energy nature and strong presence in pop culture. In this class, dancers will not only learn the basics and essentials of hip-hop, but they will also learn how to express themselves and develop their own style and artistry

Lyrical and Contemporary
Lyrical is an expressive and often emotional style of dance that is a combination of ballet skills and modern/contemporary dancing. Dancers will learn and put to use many of their ballet skills, such as leaps and turns, while also learning to express themselves through movement. For our younger dancers ages 6-8, we don’t offer a lyrical class as we encourage them to take ballet first as an introduction to the basic technical elements

After many requests from our students, we are thrilled to announce that we will be offering a Broadway Stars Class this season! Our Musical Theatre classes will teach students the fundamentals of dancing, acting, singing, and improv. Even if your dancer has no previous experience with singing or acting, they will still be a great fit for this class.
