Job Description
ASI Dance Elite is looking for friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable dance instructors to join us for our 2024-2025 dance season! Our studio specializes in teaching children ages 2-18; The ability to work with children and create a fun and high-quality dance experience is a must! We offer both recreation and competitive classes for dancers of all abilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons that will allow dancer’s to grow and progress throughout the season
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment for dancers of all levels and backgrounds
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment in which dancers are properly executing movements, stretches, and exercises in a safe manner
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students depending on level, ability, neurodivergency, or physical needs
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to foster their growth and development
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success. Teachers may meet with the dance director at any time to discuss any ongoing obstacles or hinderances that may be occurring in class in order to find proper solutions to ensure a smooth class for everyone involved
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices. All ASI Dance Elite Instructors are given access to dance teacher accounts on CLI Studios to take online classes, seminars, and courses in any dance styles they choose. Teachers can not only use these classes to strengthen their teaching methods, but may also take dance classes at home for their own dance training
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance using studio provided tablets and class rosters
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting or dance studio environment (3 Years Teaching Experience)
- Strong knowledge and expertise in teaching children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and handle behavior management
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in working with diverse learners
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Schedule
We are open Monday – Friday 3:30-9:00PM and Saturday 9:30am-3:30pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 – $65.00 per hour
