Season Two Competition Schedule

Season One Competitions were so much fun, and we can not wait to do it again with you in Season Two! See this year's competition schedule below. Be sure to hold ALL of these dates, as we will not receive a final competition schedule until 10-14 days prior to the competition.

It’s here!

Season Two
Routine Casts

We are so excited to release our Season Two Routine Cast Lists! Reminder that at ASI Dance Elite dancers do not stick to the same cohort year after year, but are instead cast in new routines each season. This allows dancers to learn from, train, and grow with different dancers each season. If you see your dancer performing with a different group of dancers this season, this does not mean that this is your dancer’s “new group”, but simply the dancers we have cast together for this season. This will change year to year to help our ASI Dance Elite team feel more like one big happy dance family and less like several individual cohorts that never have the opportunity to interact.

Tentative Additionally Scheduling Plans

Ms. Torie Maternity Leave
Ms. Torie will go on maternity leave beginning winter break! When students return in January, Ms. Jaymee will take over preparing group routines for competition! Solos, duets, and trios choreographed by Ms. Torie will likewise have another staff member, whether it be Ms. Jaymee or another teacher, step in to continue running rehearsals in Ms. Torie’s absence. Mr. Caleb and another staff member will accompany students at NUVO (Ms. Torie may drop in for a little while depending on how she is feeling!). Ms. Torie will return a few weeks before our first competition to make sure everyone is ready to hit the stage for season two!

Pajama Jam Dates

With Ms. Torie taking maternity leave beginning winter break, we will be shifting pajama jam to slightly earlier in the season to occur in early December. We will release final dates after checking with FUSD students regarding their finals dates to avoid any conflicts. We will tentatively hold Saturday December 3rd and Saturday December 10th for our pajama jam, then select a weekend accordingly based on FUSD’s final schedule

2023 Recital, Summer Session, and Dance Camp

FUSD’s school calendar is shifting, and we are making scheduling changes to better accommodate dancers’ summer breaks! We will be announcing specific dates shortly following nationals. We will now be holding a mid/end of May recital performance to allow for all summer classes, summer camps, and Nationals competitions to take place in June 2023. We hope to have a full studio closure for the month of July to allow dancers and families to take a full summer vacation next season. We are awaiting final confirmations from our recital venue regarding recital rehearsal dates, but do plan to hold the recital performance on Saturday May 20th. We may have a rehearsal on any of the following dates: Thursday May 4th, Monday May 8th,  or Friday May 19th but will release specific dates as soon as we receive them. Please hold each of these dates in your schedule until we can confirm final dates. Summer classes are tentatively scheduled for May 30th – June 22nd and are required for all competition company members to attend. Classes will occur Monday – Thursday and Competition Rehearsals will take place on Fridays. Dance camp was a blast this season and will be back next season June 5th – 9thth and June 12th – 16th! If these two weeks go well we may add a third week in season three! We are excited to make these changes to be able to provide families and dancers a full month off for the summer!

Season Two Competition Company Send Off Party

Our end of the season send off party will take place immediately following summer session on Friday, June 23rd. Please save the date for this required team event!

Nationals Photos & Videos

Nationals was such a fun experience for all, and we are so proud of all of our dancers! Parents and students can download, share, and post photos and videos from the event as they would like! Each folder is divided by group, and has both photos and videos of each routine. The Dance Down media can be found in separate a folder. Our dancers are in the “future star” folder. They have included video shot both with one angle, and with multiple angles.

Become A Teacher's Assistant in Season Two

Being a TA at ASI Dance Elite is a rewarding way for our more experienced dancers to begin sharing their knowledge and love of dance with our next generation of ASI Dance Elite Students

Dancers ages 11 and older may submit an application using the link below in order to be approved to TA classes at ASI Dance Elite. Prior to submitting an application, dancers should review the class schedule with their parents and decide which they are interested in assisting fit their schedule for the season. Please try to have more than one option, as we allow a maximum of two TAs per class and their first choice may be already taken. TAs will be added to a special Teachers Assistant page in which they will receive instructions for the week, guidance/notes on previous classes, and help instruction on how to become a great TA

Below are a few classes we recommend TAs apply for:

  • Mini Movers, Tiny Tots, and Baby Boogie
  • Tap/Jazz Combo
