Tremaine Schedule
Tremaine Dance Competition & Convention
IMPORTANT!! DANCE WRISTBAND RULES AND REGULATIONS
Tremaine is very strict regarding their rules for dancer’s wristbands. Please see below to avoid being charged in full for another convention registration:
- DO NOT remove your dancer’s wristbands at any point during the weekend
- Dancers SHOULD where their wristbands on stage during competition. Please secure your wristbands on the left wrist
- Dancers will NOT be allowed into any classes without their wristbands
- Any lost wristbands will need to be repurchased by paying for a full convention registration. If your dancer loses their wristband before Day 2, ASI will not excuse them from Sunday’s classes – you will be required to follow the Tremaine rules and regulations and purchase a new one in full
- Bands excess “tails” must be cut and may NOT be folded
- Bands may NOT be worn on ankles, bags, shirts, etc and MUST be on the dancer’s wrists
- Only 1 finger space is permitted between the dancer’s wrist and their band – they are not allowed to put them on loosely in order to slide them off before going on stage
Observer Bands
For dancers ages 3-7 registered in the min room, Tremaine includes observer bands in your registration! You do not need to pay any additional fees for your observer bands. ASI requires all dancers ages 3-7 to have a parent present with them for the convention and competition.
You may join your dancer for lunch break and the competition portion of the weekend without an observed band, however access into the convention classrooms are not possible without an observer band.
Photography and Videography
During Competition: Videography NOT allowed. Photography IS allowed
During Convention: Videography is only permitted during the last 15 minutes of class. It is listed in the rules that videos must be taken from an observer seat – let’s please respect these guidelines unless a teacher invites videos to be taken from the front/closer
Etiquette Reminders
- Parents who do not have an observer band should not enter and observe class time. We have had room monitors have to ask our parents to exit the room after they have tried to enter without a band. This not not how we would like ASI represent during convention. If you would like to stay and watch your dancer – please purchase an observer band
- Dancers please place dance bags underneath the chairs in the convention rooms
- Parents and students should not sit in the front row seats that are labeled for “Teachers Only”
Participation Waivers
All dancers will need a parent/guardian to sign a participation waiver in order to participate in the convention/competitions. Please use the link below to submit your dancer’s waiver for this event! Observers and teachers will also need to submit a waiver as well

Notes: ASI students are required to attend auditions. Dancers who have auditions during their lunch break (teens and seniors) may be excused from the following class to ear – or may eat if they are cut early in the process of the auditions.
